Full contract administration: BRIDGE Consult has expanded its services for contractors

BRIDGE Consult has supplemented and substantially expanded its services for contracting organisations: legal support has been added to document control and the financial administration of the contract. A dedicated page is now open — Full contract administration.

Three directions in one pair of hands

The proposal is built around three directions that are usually covered by three different firms — whose work then has to be reconciled.

Document control and contractual procedures. Document forms and their approval with the Engineer, official correspondence and notices, submittals for approval, the Programme and reporting, quality and as-built documentation, measurement, taking-over and project close-out.

Project finance. Advance payment and bank guarantees, cash-flow forecast, interim payments (IPC) and control of payment periods, retention, price adjustment, currency and taxes, final statement.

Law and protection of interests. Legal analysis of the contract and a risk map, contracts with counterparties, variations and additional works, claims, EOT and Cost, compliance with the requirements of financing institutions, dispute avoidance, DAAB and arbitration.

Why it matters to the Contractor

The claim, its calculation, the evidence base and the legal position are prepared by one team and do not contradict one another. There is no need to hire a law firm, a planner and a quantity surveyor separately and then reconcile their work.

A dispute almost never begins with a dispute. It begins with a document that was not served in time: a missed notice, an unrecorded Variation, an unverified quantity. The price of administration is comparable to the price of one such mistake.

Formats and pricing

The work is delivered in one of four formats: a one-off set-up of the administration system, full running of one project, a portfolio of several contracts, or targeted engagement for a specific task.

No specific amounts are fixed at this stage: terms are set following an express diagnosis and depend on the number of projects, their stage, the volume of accumulated documents and the presence of open claims. Three payment models apply — a fixed monthly fee, a one-off fee for set-up or a single task, and a separate estimate for claims work.
